For a long time we were considering joining Glovo. In big cities like Madrid and Barcelona it was already a very important channel and sooner or later it would reach Granada. COVID accelerated this process and it was a good thing we were on the platform, because during the confinement it was practically the only thing that was sold. At the beginning we approached it as a complement but it has become one of the main channels. It was very easy to start, we just sent the menu by mail and through the Glovo shop we looked for the right packaging for our menu, as well as being economical, they are totally sustainable. Having Glovo's advice allowed us to create combos with funny and catchy names, to include professional photos, to look for the right keywords to position them correctly, to increase sales. They also proposed creating virtual brands and together with their already consolidated brands such as Milanesa and Bendito Burrito, we have managed to return to profitability and have gone from thinking about reducing staff to looking for people and everything, despite the situation derived from Covid.
Since we have started with the new brand of milanesa house, we have started to work in a new, simple and quick way. Moreover we noticed that it is easy to handle and prepare. We have been with Milanesa House for almost 2 months now and we have already noticed that it has helped us to increase our local turnover and it also helps us to systematise our kitchen for the entry of new brands. Glovo has offered us new brands with training included and from Yoursushi's side we are very happy and interested in moving forward with new brands (we can even reduce yoursushi products).
After a long career in the catering industry, with Glovo Concepts we are very happy with all the brands, learning new things, maximising the kitchen. We have also learned to deal with new products and preparations that we hardly knew before. On the other hand and after some time we have also realised that there are some things that can be improved with some simple details or by changing some products.
